Councilwoman Vicki Weger

Vicki Weger has spent much of her life as a working journalist in the Wabash Valley as Assignments Editor and Managing Editor at WTHI-TV News, and as a network news field producer for NBC, ABC, and PBS, in the the U.S., Europe, Africa, and Asia.  She also enjoys working as a freelance print journalist for various publications.  Vicki and her late husband, Teddy Elbert, were adopted as 'Basketball Mom and Dad' to Teddy's beloved Indiana State Men's Basketball Team.  Vicki continues now as "Basketball Mom," one of her proudest titles.  She is a member of the Indiana Broadcast Pioneers Hall of Fame, past president of Indiana AP Broadcasters, and recipient of the Wabash Valley Central Labor Council Labor Day Award.
