H1N1 Vaccine
The Health Clinic is now giving the H1N1 vaccine to the general public (ages 6 months and up) in our clinic on Tuesdays and Thursdays only from 9:00 am - 11:00 am and 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. The vaccine is free. No appointment necessary, just walk in.
The Health Clinic will be holding an evening Clinic on Thursday, February 11, 2010 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm. inthe Vigo County Government Annex Building, County Council Chambers at South 1st and Oak Streets. Both the H1N1 nasal mist and H1N1 injectable (the shot) will be available free of charge. However, the nasal mist will be administered to anyone 2-49 years of age unless the individual can provide written documentation from his or her physician stating why he or she cannot take the nasal mist. Individuals must be healthy and have no underlying medical conditions such as asthma, diabetes, etc. Pregnant women also cannot take the nasal mist form of the vaccine. Also, parents of children ages 9 and under are encouraged to bring their children to the H1N1 clinic if their child has received the first dose of the vaccine but are still in need of the second dose.

"Vigo County Health Department Clinic: Changes in Services "
Terre Haute, IN- Effective August 3, 2009 there will be changes to and suspension in clinical services due to staff reduction. The following services are suspended until further notice:
- STD Testing and Treatment
- Travel Immunizations
- HIV Testing and Counseling
The following services will be reduced in frequency and by appointment only until further notice:
- Mantoux (TB) Testing remain on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday as walk-in
- Well-Child on one Wednesday a month by appointment only
- Adult immunizations on Tuesday and Thursday by appointment only
